Bizfield Start Up Visa Program
DISCLAIMER
No group or individual participating in this program may invest in or support the program for the sole purpose of immigration. The goal of the program is to attract outstanding foreign start-ups with innovative technology to relocate to Canada, therefore generating increased Canadian employment and tax revenue.
What is Canada's Start-Up Visa
The Start-Up Visa Program was established by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on August 1st, 2013, and is administered by NACO (National Angel Capital Organization), Canada’s national organization supporting angel investing. This Program is an immigration incentive designed to attract innovative technology and start-up companies to move to Canada where they can develop and expand their entrepreneurial projects.
The criteria for being accepted for permanent residency under the Start-Up Visa immigration program is that your business plan and related documentation needs to be approved by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Upon approval, a designated organization will provide a Letter of Support that will enable you to apply for immigration under this program.
To be approved for the program, an eligible company needs to attain the following from one of the three types of designated organizations:
-
Designated Venture Capital Fund: the company needs an investment of at least $200,000 from the fund.
-
Designated Angel Investment Fund: the project needs a minimum investment of $75,000 from the fund.
-
Designated Business Incubator: the company must be accepted into and complete an incubation program delivered by the Designated Incubator.
